A new 40 mph speed limit will soon be introduced on the A143.

Residents in Horringer along with the parish council been campaigning for safer road options for some time.

From around the 5th February, the stretch of the road between Horringer and the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds will be a 40mph limit.

Cllr. Karen Soonswho partly funded the project through her locality budget said “‘This stretch of road will be much safer for walkers, cyclists and motorists alike and I am looking forward to seeing it installed in February”.
“Thanks to the parish council and residents for their help in achieving this much needed highway improvement measure with me. This has been part-funded by my Highways Locality Budget”.
