Bury in Bloom in to the finals of the Britain in Bloom competition

Bury in bloom has been shortlisted for the finals of the 2022 Royal Horticultural Societies Britain in bloom
The competition is the UK’s largest community garden competition. Groups from all four nations will compete in one of eight categories and we hope to secure a much sought after RHS gold, silver-gilt, silver, or bronze awards.

It’s the first time that Bury in Bloom has made the finals since 2018. Bury faces tough competition from tough competitors from Cumbria to Cornwall and Blackburn to Sevenoaks and with the Queen’s Jubilee and Abbey 1000 celebrations taking place so 2022 will be a busy year for Bury St Edmunds.

David Irvine Bury in Bloom Coordinator said: “We’re excited to make the RHS Britain in Bloom UK Finals for the first time since 2018 and with a noticeable increase in people looking to get involved in community gardening in recent years it would be a great time to shine a light on the benefits it is already having”.

The Britain in Bloom judging follows closely behind the Anglia in Bloom judging that takes place in July which includes the Bury in Bloom ‘Certificate of Merit’ also known as the Front Garden Competition.
