Bury St Edmunds boy robbed of phone and money

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident took place, yesterday, Tuesday 12 September sometime between 12.30-12.45 pm yesterday lunchtime on St Olave’s Road, near to the junction with Hunter Road.

It is reported that the victim, a teenage boy, was approach by a man who threatened him and demanded that he hand over property. The boy gave cash and a mobile phone to the man who then ran off in  the direction of the park. The suspect is described as white, 6 feet 3 inches tall, medium build, with a ‘rough’ complexion, who was wearing a grey or black hooded top, black jeans and black Adidas shoes. The victim was unharmed as a result of the incident.

Police believe this to have been a targeted attack.
