Catalytic converter stolen from vehicle parked outside Bury St Edmunds home

Police are appealing for witnesses after a theft of a catalytic converter in Bury St Edmunds.

It took place at some point between Friday 3 July and Monday 13 July outside a property on Ipswich Street where a catalytic converter was taken from a silver Volvo V40 estate.

Please can vehicle owners be vigilant by:

  • keeping private vehicles parked in secure garages where possible and if no garage is available, in a well-lit public area.
  • Keep commercial vehicles in a locked building or compound
  • Use alarms, lighting and CCTV to deter thieves.
