Cyclist in his 70s suffers serious head injury following Great Barton collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that took place at Great Barton.

It happened at about 2.35pm today (Tuesday 4 August) between a blue Ford Ka and a pedal cycle on Fornham Road.

Police, ambulance and the air ambulance attended the scene and the road was closed until just before 5pm whilst an initial investigation took place into the circumstances.

The male pedal cyclist, aged in his 70s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital via land ambulance with a serious head injury.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the manner of driving of the vehicle moments before the collision or anyone with dash cam footage.of the incident.
