Elderly pedestrian suffers minor injuries after being hit by a car in Bury St Edmunds

An elderly pedestrian has been taken to hospital with minor injuries following an incident with a car.

Police were called to Vinery Road at 1.35pm to reports of the RTC involving a car and a pedestrian.

The elderly pedestrian suffered a cut to the elbow and a bump on the head, and was said to be concious and breathing.

An East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust spokesperson said: “An ambulance attended a car park on Vinery Road in Bury St Edmunds to treat a patient who had been hit by a car. The patient was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for assessment.”
