A man from Elmswell has been jailed for eight weeks for driving whilst disqualified.

32 year old David Sheldrake of Hall Lane in Elmswell was sentenced at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday 22 October.

This driver was stopped on Wednesday morning (21 October) on Hall Lane following information received from the public about him driving a vehicle whilst disqualified. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police investigation Centre for questioning.

He was subsequently charged with driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance and appeared before magistrates the following day. He pleaded guilty to both counts and he was also disqualified from driving for 16 months.
