Land Ladies Return to Nursing

The land ladies of The three Kings in Fornham All Saints have returned to nursing during the caronavius pandemic.

Wendi Braithwait and Tracey Carter are both qualified nurses with over 50 years of experience between them. both worked in senior posts, Tracy as a specialist respiratory nurse and Wendi as a specialist cardiac nurse before she went on to work as a senior lecturer in acute and critical care. Both ladies who have not nursed for 12 years made the decision to work at Pinford End nursing home, helping care for the elderly in the short term whilst their pub is closed.

Speaking to RWSfm 103.3 Wendi said “We both started this week and are loving it …. (although not sure our feet are ). But we feel that it’s vital to take care of the elderly and vulnerable and we feel we are ‘doing our bit ‘ “.
