Man dies following A14 collision between lorry and pedestrian

A man has died following a serious road traffic collision on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds.

Police were called at 7.20am this morning, Monday 8 November, to reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian on the eastbound carriageway between Bury St Edmunds and Rougham.

Paramedics and the air ambulance were also in attendance, but the pedestrian – a man aged in his 70s – sadly died at the scene.

The eastbound carriageway was completely closed whilst a collision investigation took place, reopening at around 3pm.
