More students at King Edward VI School to self isolate after positive Covid-19 tests

A school in Bury St Edmunds has confirmed two more cases of Coronavirus. King Edward VI School has said that an extra 80 students will be self-isolating after a student and a member of support staff tested positive this week.

On Sunday two other members of staff tested positive and around 50 students and 7 staff members were asked to self-isolate for 14 days.

Earlier this week Lee Walker, Headteacher at King Edward VI School, said: “We are continuing to work very closely with Suffolk County Council and Public Health England, all of whom continue to advise us. The health, safety and well-being of our school community remains our number one priority.”
