Police appeal after teenager assaulted in Bury St Edmunds

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted on the Howard Estate

A 16-year-old boy was walking home, when he was approached by two males at approximately 4pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 17th March, near Hunter Road and Nunn Square.

One of the males punched the boy twice in the face, and as the boy attempted to defend himself by punching the male back, the pair fell onto the floor. The male then started kicking the boy before cycling away. The other younger male left on foot and the teenage boy walked home.

As a result of the incident, the boy sustained bruising and a suspected broken nose.

The older suspect is male aged approximately 16-17-years-old and a younger male, aged around 13. The older male was tall, of slim build and was wearing a North Face puffer coat with the hood up. The younger was wearing a black tracksuit.
