Police have arrested a man armed with a knife following a serious assault in the town.
Officers were called to reports of a serious assault in Beetons Way yesterday evening, Sunday 19th July, at around 19:30.
Police found that the man was in possession of a knife.
He was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon & Grievous Bodily Harm following the disturbance.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
