A 28-year-old man has been charged with assault on two police officers in Bury St Edmunds.
One officer allegedly sustained injuries to their face after being head-butted and the other was allegedly bitten on the arm causing the skin to break whilst they were trying to deal with the man.
Ayden Devine, of no fixed abode, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital as a precaution by police yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 6 April, after being arrested in relation to a separate incident in the town centre.
He was then taken to Bury St Edmunds Investigation Centre for questioning where he was subsequently charged with two counts of assault on an emergency worker.
Devine has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court tomorrow, Thursday 8 April.
The male suspect has since been further arrested for these two assaults and awaits interview. #700 #252
