Although born in Surrey, Roy was brought up in Edmonton, North London. His first dip in to radio ‘jocking’ was during his years in the RAF, although he was always listening to the radio when he was growing up.

As Sports Editor, Roy takes responsibility for the very credible Saturday Sports Show from 2pm. There is a team of presenters and reporters involved in the production of the show but it is fair to say that Roy is the Anchor.

Married with two children and five grandchildren, Roy can often be found on the golf course when not on air. Roy says he cannot go too long without a curry and would escape to New Zealand if he had to.
