Teenager and man verbally abuse pensioner following cycling crash in Woolpit

Police are appealing for witnesses to a public order incident that took place in Woolpit.

It happened on Broomhill Lane on Tuesday 11 August at about 1:45pm when a male cyclist collided with a woman, aged in her 70s, who was watering her plants outside. She sustained bruising in the process and had damage to her clothes. After the cyclist apologised and the victim had reminded him of the highway code, he left the scene only to return a short time later with an older male. Both males then started shouting abusive words and swearing aggressively at the victim and was physically intimidating.

One suspect was described as aged about 15 years old, of slim build, with blonde hair, and dark clothing and riding a black racing bike. The older male was aged in his 40s, with short hair and was driving a white van.
