Thetford man jailed after late night attack in Bury St Edmunds

A man who punched and kicked another man in a late night attack in Bury St Edmunds has been jailed.

Michael Vickers, from Thetford, had been drinking before he punched William Ackroyd in the face fracturing his eye socket and then kicking him in his lower body while he was on the ground.

The 25-year-old admitted assault causing actual bodily harm in April last year He was jailed for 12 months and made to pay £500 costs and £750 compensation.
