Tributes paid to 25 year old who died following A14 collision on Tuesday

Police are now able to name a woman who died following a collision on the A14.

Officers were called just after 5pm on Tuesday 16 February to reports of a collision on the eastbound A14 in Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds, involving a pedestrian and a car.

Volunteers from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service and an air ambulance were also in attendance, but the pedestrian sadly died at the scene.

Subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, she has been identified as Sophie Riley, aged 25 and originally from the Northamptonshire area.

The family have provided the following tribute: “Sophie was a well-loved, loving caring Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter and cousin who will be sadly missed by us all.”
