Rich’s love affair with music began in childhood, when he bought Lightning Seeds’ Pure on vinyl from his local post office. That moment sparked a lifelong passion—not just for collecting records, but for sharing the stories and feelings they evoke. Today, with over 30,000 vinyl records in his collection, Rich brings a treasure trove of musical history to the airwaves.
Rich’s show is a celebration of music in all its forms, featuring:
🎵 B-Side Gems – uncovering the hidden brilliance of 45 singles’ flip sides
🔁 Cover vs. Original – playful comparisons of iconic tracks and their reinterpretations
💿 Vinyl Memories – personal stories and selections from his vast collection
With no set playlist, Rich explores genres and eras freely, delivering a unique mix of nostalgia, surprises, and deep musical passion.
Before joining RWSfm, Rich enjoyed a fascinating career, spending over two decades in science and leadership roles, from developing pharmaceutical medicines with GSK and Pfizer to scaling Amazon Alexa’s European operations from scratch to over 3,000 employees. Along the way, he’s led global teams, launched products, and nurtured talent, all while championing education and STEM opportunities for young people from underserved backgrounds. Most recently as COO for Preventx, managing NHS and City of London sexual health contracts and projects.
Outside the studio, Rich is a devoted father, enjoying rugby matches with his sons in Bury St Edmunds and spending time with his young daughter Isabella. Deeply connected to his local community, he sees radio as a way to bring people together through shared memories and music that resonates across generations.
