Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw officially launches

Among one of the first passengers was Cllr Patrick Chung

The Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw was officially launched in the Abbey Gardens on Monday, June 4th.

The project is based on the Cycling Without Age scheme that originated in Copenhagen and is now popular in many towns and cities all over the world.

All rides are free thanks to the schemes volunteer riders and is aimed at anyone who finds it difficult to get out and about because of limited mobility or social isolation, but would enjoy a ride round town.

Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw is a charity, formed in early 2018 by the trustees Libby Ranzetta, Ann Williamson and Sam Reid.
