Corrie McKeague pre-inquest delayed

A pre-inquest hearing following the disappearance of RAF Airman Corrie McKeague has been delayed.

Corrie McKeague went missing in 2016. He had been based at RAF Honington

The hearing was due to take place on February 5th, but it has now been pushed back until April 16th, 2021. The inquest will then take place later in the year, but Corrie Mother Nicola Urquhart said that she is “realistic in understanding that this could also move”.

Nicola added, “What is important is that we are getting an inquest, not how long it takes.”

Corrie went missing in the early hours of September 24th, 2016, after a night out in Bury St Edmunds.

It is thought that he may have entered a rubbish bin which was later collected by a bin lorry. Despite an extensive search operation, which included two landfill sites, the serviceman’s body has never found.
