Police have arrested men in connection with hare coursing over the weekend.
Officers from the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and armed policing team along side the Suffolk Rural and Wildlife policing team stopped a black Volvo estate after reports of hare coursing close to Great Barton yesterday morning.
Five men, from Kent, as well as dogs were found inside the vehicle, which was seized by officers.
Suffolk Police are currently running an operation, named Op Galileo, to crack down on illegal hare coursing.
We welcome dog friendly tourism in Suffolk but we don’t welcome dog owning criminals from Kent that think they’re above the law. 5 arrested, 4 dogs taken, car seized. Thank you again to colleagues and public. Let’s end this disgusting activity . #notwelcomehere. #OpGalileo #233 pic.twitter.com/ysQDFEW26K
