Ixworth – two charged with drug offences

Two people have been charged with drug offences following their arrest near Ixworth.

A car was stopped in Walsham Road on Tuesday 17 July after which a 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Chasey Price, 22, of Bury Road, Rickinghall, was later charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and failure to provide a specimen for analysis.

Jasmine Elvin, 25, of Catchpole Walk, Dickleburgh was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

They both appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 19 July. Price was remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday 16 August. Elvin was bailed to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on the same date.
