Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of lead from a community building in Long Melford.

The incident occurred at some time between 11am on Sunday 20 September and 8am yesterday, Monday 21 September, in The Green.

The lead sheeting from the porch roof of The Old School Community Centre was removed, which covered an approximate area of 12 square metres.

Anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the building, or who has any information about this incident, is asked to contact Sudbury Safer Neighbourhood Team, quoting reference: 55077/20.
