Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Bury St Edmunds this afternoon, Monday 4 July.

Officers were called at 2.29pm to reports a man had been stabbed at Parkway multistorey car park in the town.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance.

There is currently a police cordon in place at the car park and the car park is closed while officers carry out their enquiries.

Officers understand the challenges people will face being unable to access their vehicles and are working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
