Police have arrested a person who had entered the county illegally after a traffic stop on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds.

After pulling over the vehicle officers ran checks with the Home Office after they suspected something wasn’t quite right, and it was discovered that one of the passengers had entered the country illegally and after a short chase on foot they were arrested.

The driver also had no licence as well as no insurance and the vehicle was seized.
