Police arrest two men after the discovery of a cannabis farm in West Suffolk woodland

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man and a 30-year-old man on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

On Wednesday 12 August, following the discovery of 74 cannabis plants in three separate growing sites in a private woodland in West Suffolk, police have arrested two men on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and criminal damage.

A 25-year-old man from Bedfordshire and a 30 year-old man from Bury St Edmunds were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they were questioned by officers. They were both subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A number of plants were found across three separate growing sites.

A Suffolk Police spokes person said “We would urge farmers and landowners to regularly check remote/private locations on their land and report any similar finds to police”.
