Originally from the West Midlands, John’s career has taken him to several parts of the UK and even to Belgium before he eventually settled in Suffolk with his wife. They have happily called Suffolk home for more than 10 years.

John’s love of music began at an early age. Although he proudly owns a saxophone, several guitars and a collection of other instruments, he freely admits that being able to playing them is another matter entirely! Instead, he’s found his true calling in sharing the music he loves on the radio. Rather than being tied to one genre, John enjoys everything from soul, rock and jazz to country, and is always on the lookout for great new music to discover.

Away from the studio, John is a keen football and sports fan, as well as an enthusiastic cook. You can join him every Friday morning and on Sunday afternoons for Sunday Love Songs.
