One 19 year-old male and a 59 year-old male were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Wednesday 5 August at addresses in London. A third male, aged 51, was arrested in the Haverhill area, also on suspicion of attempted murder.
All three remain in police custody at this time.
Police were called at just before 10.15pm on Sunday 22 March to reports of a serious incident in Mortimer Road. A man aged in his 40s was found to have sustained stab wounds and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim spent several weeks in hospital before being well enough to be released. Police believe this was a targeted incident, with no wider threat to the local community.
In early April, following police enquiries, Sebastian Smith, of Radford Road in Lewisham, was charged with attempted murder.
Five other males, a 24 year old, a 26 year old, a 47 year old and 28 year old have all previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on bail pending further enquiries.
