The Constitutional Social Club in Bury St Edmunds has announced it will be closing its doors for the final time after 135 years of service to the local community.
Located on Guildhall Street, the historic club has been a beloved fixture in the town since it first opened on 10th April 1888. Over the years, it became a hub for social activities, offering facilities such as darts, pool, and snooker tables, as well as hosting popular events including the Hoo Ha Record Club, Cheese and Wine evenings, and the Bury St Edmunds Spring and Winter Beer Festivals.

The announcement came via the club’s social media channels following a members meeting, confirming that the club’s last trading day will be this Saturday, 8th February.
