Police are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on the A143 in Great Barton.
Police were called at around 4pm yesterday, Sunday 14 May, to reports of a serious collision involving a grey Mini Cooper.
The vehicle was driving towards Bury St Edmunds before the collision occurred on a right-hand bend of a single carriageway road.
Police, fire service and ambulance services attended the scene. A man and a woman, both aged in their 80s, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also asking for anyone who was driving along the A143 in Great Barton at around 4pm – in either direction – just prior to the incident and who has a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for anything that may be of assistance.
