Man bailed in connection with fatal A14 collision at Beyton

A man arrested in connection with a fatal road traffic collision on the A14 near Beyton has been released on bail.

Police were called just after 6pm on Thursday 30 March, to reports of a three-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway, involving two lorries and a van, near the roadworks.

The East of England ambulance service, air ambulance and Suffolk Fire and Rescue crews were also in attendance, but the driver of the van was sadly declared deceased at the scene.

A man aged in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was released on police bail until Thursday 22 June.
