Police Appeal After Dog Attack Injures Pensioner and Pet in Elmswell

Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses after a man and his dog were injured in a dog attack in Elmswell.

The incident happened on Saturday, 31 May, between 9am and 9.20am, on land opposite Lord’s Bridge.

A 74-year-old man was knocked over by an Alsatian-type dog, aggravating an existing back injury. His own dog was also attacked and later required veterinary treatment.

According to police, the Alsatian’s owner had to forcibly restrain their dog during the incident.
