Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Bury St Edmunds.
Officers received a report on Sunday 24 August 2025 that a man aged in his 60s had been attacked between 6.20pm and 6.30pm. The incident took place between the wooded area of Cumberland Avenue and the Marham Park estate.
At this stage officers believe the assault to be racially motivated. The victim sustained cuts to his head. His dog was also thrown into the bushes during the incident.
The suspects, who were on bicycles and accompanied by a young child, cycled off through Cumberland Avenue towards Severn Road.
Police have an image of individuals they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.
