Film crews have been working at various locations in and around Bury St Edmunds this week, sparking curiosity among residents. Sites including Bell Meadow, St Mary’s Church, and Fitta Bodies Gym have been central to the production, which has also involved a bin lorry as part of the filming.

A letter to residents suggested the production may be a music video, with some believing it could be related to new work by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

Production trucks have been stationed at Ram Meadow car park, with additional filming taking place in residential areas off Fornham Road. The production company, Ammolite Machine—previously involved in projects for artists like Eminem and Jelly Roll—reached out to residents in Bell Meadow, offering £500 for the use of homes as filming locations.

The production requested homes with a retro aesthetic, ideally reflecting styles from the 1980s or 1990s. One scene reportedly involved a family watching TV together and a teenager in their bedroom.

Local businesses have also been impacted, with Fitta Bodies Gym announcing closures on Monday and Thursday to accommodate filming.

While no official confirmation has been made about the project’s purpose, the involvement of high-profile actors and the activity in the town has captured the interest of residents.
