Theatre Royal offers families on universal credit free tickets to summer production

The Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds is offering families on universal credit the chance to see their summer production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for free.

Tickets are limited and are available directly from Theatre Royal’s box office. They are able to be claimed by anyone providing evidence that they are in receipt of Universal Credit.

Owen Calvert-Lyons, Theatre Royal Artistic Director said “We are making an incredible, uplifting, fun show this summer and we want to give everyone in our community the chance to come and see it. We know coming to the theatre isn’t going to be an option for everyone, simply due to the cost of tickets, and so by working with community partners and through our own community ticketing programme we are making a number of tickets free of charge”.

You can find more details on the Theatre’s website https://theatreroyal.org/community-outreach/

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz runs for two weeks from 18th August.
