13 Fire crews tackled two large fires in West Suffolk yesterday after noon.

The first was at Rookwood Hall Farm, in Stanningfield, near Bury St Edmunds, at 1.20pm, where 20 acres of stubble caught alight.

Around 10 minutes later another fire broke out in Tostock Road, Beyton, when 10 acres of stubble and 50 tons of straw bales caught alight.

It comes as forecasters have said that there is still little chance of rain despite, the recent cooler temperatures
