13-year-old boy suffers injuries following an “altercation” in a Bury St Edmunds alleyway

A 13-year-old boy has suffered facial injuries after an “altercation” with a group in an alley way.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon, 14th June, in the Howard Estate area of Bury St Edmunds close to the St Olaves Precinct.

Police were called shortly before 5.15pm, following reports that a group of young males, who were known to each other, had been involved in an altercation in alleyway near St Olaves Precinct.

One of the boys, aged 13, sustained non-life-threatening or life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers do not believe this incident is linked to any other incidents in the area.
