A man in his 70s is in a critical condition following a crash on the A14 in Bury this morning.

Emergency services received reports of a collision at J43 St Saviours Interchange, westbound shortly after nine this morning.

The carriageway in both directions was closed to allow the air ambulance to land. The driver of a blue Volkswagen Golf was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by land ambulance and is thought to be in a critical condition.
