Police are appealing for witnesses following two incidents of arson reported in Bury St Edmunds.
On Saturday 7 July at 12.20am, offenders damaged a property on Kendall Close in the town by putting a smoke grenade through the letterbox of a home. Scorch marks were caused to the carpet and smoke damage caused to the wall.
On the same day at 1.15am, damage was caused to a property on Daisy Avenue by the same method.
Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue attended the scene and no one was injured.
Detectives are linking the two incidents and would be interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the times stated, or who may have any information to assist the investigation.
