A community has been left in shock after a vulnerable teenager was attacked by a group of girls.
Police were called to a report of a 14-year-old girl, who reportedly has autism, being assaulted on Raynham Road in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 7 September at about 8:45pm
Four female suspects, believed to known to the victim, have kicked and punched the her, causing bruising and swelling to her nose.
Residents have set up a Facebook fundraising page as gesture of good will from the community so her family can treat her.
Enquiries are on-going and anyone who witnessed the incident should contact police in 101 or on their website.
