Four fire appliances have been sent to a house fire in Woolpit.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue were called to Wrights Way at just before 9pm tonight, Monday 10th August.
A fire, which had started in a garden shed, had spread to the garage and adjacent two-storey house.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue say that “We mobilised the following fire appliances: 1 from Stowmarket, 1 from Bury St Edmunds, 1 from Elmswell, 1 from Ixworth”.
A local resident told RWSfm “We have just witnessed explosions. Several fire appliances there and the house is seriously damaged. All our neighbours out on street moving cars and knocking up elderly residents”.
No casualties have been reported.
