A firework has been posted through the letterbox of a home in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident happened on Friday 5th of November at around 9:20 pm at a home on Northumberland Avenue.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said, “we had a report of a firework put through a letter box in Bury St Edmunds on 5 Nov. It took place at about 9:20pm on Northumberland Avenue – minor damage was caused to the inside of the letterbox and the inside of the door”.

The occupants were said to have been left shaken but unharmed by the incident.
