Lavenham serious collision – Update

A man sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after a collision in Lavenham.

It all happened yesterday at around 11:30 when a Jaguar and a BMW collided on the A1141 Bury Road.

A volunteer critical care team from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service Charity was sent to the scene alongside Suffolk fire and rescue and the East of England Ambulance service.

The man, thought to be in his sixties, was later air-lifted to hospital and the occupant of the other vehicle was not believed to have sustained serious injuries.

 

Police were called at 11.30am today, Monday 25 June to reports of a collision involving a grey Jaguar F-Type and a blue BMW 740LE car. The driver of the Jaguar car, a man,sustained serious injuries and has been taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The A1141 between Lavenham and Thorpe Morieux is closed at this time to allow an investigation into the circumstances to take place.

Witnesses or anybody with any information regarding the collision are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 145 of today.
