An off-duty police officer and members of the public have assisted in the arrest of the driver on the A14 who was spotted driving dangerously.
The man was spotted by the police officer driving on the A14 at Rougham yesterday, January 8th, afternoon.
Itâs not yet clear how the van came to a stop, but the officer attempted to detain the driver and members of the public assisted.
Police Officers from Norfolk & Suffolk’s Roads & Armed Policing Team arrived on the scene and arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of driving while being unfit through drink/drugs and dangerous driving. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and has subsequently been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
