Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire at a property in Thurston. At 2.40pm on Wednesday 3rd October, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of a fire at a property in Field View, Thurston.
On arrival it was established that the property was well alight. The fire was extinguished using one hose reel, two jets and with four firefighters in breathing apparatus.
All persons in the property were accounted for but one person was taken to hospital by road ambulance. Details of their condition are not known.
Three fire engines were mobilised, two from Bury St Edmunds and one from Elmswell. A cause of the fire has not yet been identified and an investigation is underway.
