Police have carried out a multi-agency operation in West Suffolk tackling modern slavery and human trafficking.
Officers from Suffolk Police, HM Immigration Enforcement and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority visited car washes around the west of the county.
Speaking on social media Sergeant Dan Peck explained that officers were “working to understand if there are any victims of modern slavery and investigate any offences we might find”.
We recently conducted a joint agency operation to disrupt modern slavery, human trafficking & organised immigration crime in car washes around #BuryStEdmunds.
