Police have arrested two men after they had cause to stop a vehicle on the A14.
Officers from the Roads and Armed Policing team used a Tactical Pursuit And Containment (TPAC) manoeuvre to force the stop of a BMW on the eastbound on the A14 at Risby, shortly before 6.40 pm yesterday, Sunday 28 March.
As the vehicle was stopped, a male passenger fled from the vehicle and was seen throwing a large bag of suspected Class A drugs into the undergrowth. He was detained a short time later.
Two men, aged 32 and 38, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, both subsequently have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs were recovered.
