Police search Ickworth Estate for missing man James Webb

Searches are continuing today (Thursday 11 June) for a missing 61-year-old man from Cambridgeshire, who is believed to have travelled to Horringer.

James Webb was reported missing on Tuesday evening, 9 June, after failing to return to his home in Burwell.

Initial police enquiries traced James’ car to the vicinity of Ickworth House in Horringer and searches of the parkland continue today.

Search activity has been carried out by officers and the Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SulSAR) team.

James is described as white, 6ft 2in tall, of slim build and with dark/greying hair. His disappearance is out of character, and so family members and police are concerned for his welfare.

Officers have received a number of potential sightings of James and continue to ask members of the public who believe they have seen James, or who have any information regarding his whereabouts, to contact the Bury St Edmunds Response Investigation Team, quoting reference: CAD 72 of 10 June.
