8 Fire crews, 1 from Leiston, 1 from Wickhambrook, 1 from Bury St Edmunds, 1 from Brandon, 2 from Mildenhall, 3 from Newmarket, attended the fire at the recycling centre at Red Lodge last night after 70 tonnes of waste caught alight at just after 9:30PM.

The fire service said crews had to surround the fire, which was on a locked, site before they could get access and get closer to it.

Firefighters remain at the scene.
