A teenage boy has been arrested following an incident in Barrow.

Police were called at 4.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 13 May) to reports of a disturbance at a takeaway food premises in Brittons Road, during which two men had been assaulted.  

A 17-year-old boy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre, where he currently remains for questioning.

He was further arrested in custody on suspicion of Public Order Act offences.
